I've been living in self denial for too long.
Materialistic, Superficial or whatever.. I don't know. Don't really care either.
What I know is that I love love love certain brands. BRANDS! TABOO WORD!
Cause it makes me very much less hardcore :(
What is it about brands? They're expensive so not much people have them? The quality? The design? The status symbol thing? The 'high-end' experience of shopping at the store?
Can't put a finger on anything :/
I don't go shopping much, but when I surf the web, I stumble across high street label stuff that are so mind-blasting I feel like I could die any moment.
Luckily I still feel that plonking down 500 dollars for a pair of sneaks or a messenger bag is pure heartache. Thats if I have the 500 bucks to plonk down in the first place.
Then again, I deny myself off 30 dollar t-shirts of my favourite bands. I guess its cause I really don't have much money at all. Honest. Swear. I know you don't believe me. Fuck You.
Most of my clothes I got in Hong Kong. Actually almost everything.
2 reasons.
1. My dad gives me a bunch of cash to buy stuff and eat and whatevs
2. I hate wearing the same shit as other people, getting it there means there are lesser chances of that happening.
There was once I saw a guy in school wearing a Mao ZeDong shirt.
I didn't feel that special anymore :(
That being said. Heres a bunch of stuff that I love. Not only clothing labels.
DCSHOESCO (any skate shoe/sneakers actually, but my first pair were DCs. Nikes are a major nono)
JACK SPADE (zomgz the messenger bags)
HEAD PORTER
BATHING APE
IKEA
RAZER
STARBUCKS
I know, the last 3 are a little what the fuck.
I'm tired and its my blog so I type whatever the eff I want.
Somehow I'm not really into the whole Gucci/Louis Vuitton thing, but I'm not saying I wouldn't like to own any :)
This post might not have made any sense.
Goodnight.
